Flat Rate Pricing*

With our Flat Rate pricing, you know what to expect. Payment is made in three payments: one third at time of engagement; one third prior to the first block of mediation; and the final third prior to filing of the final divorce paperwork.

Does Not Include Mandatory Court Filing Fees - $435-450 or Service of Process Fees - approximately $85. Please be aware that QDRO/retirement division is not included in the flat fee pricing. Please contact us for further information. Other services requiring third party experts such as business evaluations, appraisals, etc. are to be borne by the parties and not included in the flat fee pricing.

1. Streamlined Process

Your divorce moves through one continuous process with mediation sessions in person or over Zoom, no court appearances, no hourly billing.

2. Family Law Attorney Mediators

You know who will be working on your case, experienced family law attorneys Kenneth and Laura Kalfin, who are knowledgeable on California law and able to offer legal opinions as you mediate your agreement.

3. Phone & Email Support

Unlimited phone and email support is included in flat rate pricing.

4. Document Preparation

We provide comprehensive questionnaires to collect relevant information and are available to answer any questions that arise in the document preparation stage. We draft and file all court documents, which includes the initial pleadings, financial disclosures, your marital settlement agreement, and all judgment documents

5. Support Calculations

We will calculate guideline child support using court approved software, and will also help determine spousal support if necessary.

6. Filing of all Necessary Paperwork

The flat fee includes filing of all necessary paperwork. However, any mandatory court filing fees are additional.

*The flat fee covers the legal services specifically described  and does not include the services or fees of third parties, including, without limitation, business valuation experts, real estate appraisers, forensic accountants, CPAs or other tax professionals, actuaries or pension valuation experts, financial professionals, private investigators, custody evaluators, minor’s counsel, or other experts or consultants. The fees and expenses of such persons shall be the responsibility of the parties and shall be paid separately from the attorney’s flat fee.  Any services outside the scope of the flat fee shall be performed only upon the parties’ agreement to an additional fee or hourly fee arrangement, as applicable.
